Sunder G. Jambunathan
Mr. Jambunathan is an experienced commercial real estate investor that has been actively investing in the New York City market for over 9 years. During his career, he has closed over $600M of acquisitions and has had asset management responsibility for over $1.2B of assets across the United States. Mr. Jambunathan has played a role in the acquisition, financing and management of hospitality, multifamily, and development strategies and has most recently overseen 2 completed condo developments including a 69 unit luxury conversion in Manhattan as well as a 273 unit ground-up project in Seattle, WA.
Mr. Jambunathan is a co-founder of Certes Partners and previously worked at Deutsche Bank, having spent 6 years with the bank’s real estate private equity division, a global investment management business with EUR 43.6B under management.
He is a frequent speaker at industry events, including IMN’s Opportunity Fund Conference, Eastern Consolidated's New York Multifamily Summit., the Anchin Design and Construction Forum and Buyouts Insider’s Emerging Manager Forum. Mr. Jambunathan received a B.S. from Georgetown University, where he was a Deans Award recipient, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the New York Private Equity Network, and the Sierra Club.
Mr. Hakimian is experienced in underwriting and executing all types of real estate investments with a focus on property development, redevelopment and re-positioning in the hospitality and residential sectors. He has been responsible for the acquisition and/or asset management of over $1.0B of assets across North America including 5 hospitality assets and 3,000 multifamily units.
Prior to forming Certes, Mr. Hakimian spent 7 years at Deutsche Bank in its RREEF Real Estate Global Opportunity Funds Group. The group’s latest fund had over $1.9B of assets under management.
Mr. Hakimian received a B.S. from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he was awarded the Dean’s Honor Key. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, New York Private Equity Network, and the NYU Young Alumni Leadership Circle.
Mr. Bouskila has a wide range of expertise in multiple facets of real estate and has transacted in over of $500M in real estate assets with a primary focus on the multifamily sector.
Prior to becoming a principal at Certes Partners, Mr. Bouskila acquired, developed and managed a combined 3,000+ residential and commercial units in the New York metro area. Previous to this post, he served as Director of the JESTA Group, a Private Real Estate company with global real estate assets in excess of 1B USD. There he focused on the acquisition and management of distressed real estate and debt in the United States.
Mr. Bouskila received a B.S. and M.S. from New York University where he received numerous academic and service awards including Dean’s Honor List, Bronfman Award for Community Service, and the Presidential Scholarship Award.
Jared has responsibility for sourcing, analyzing and performing due diligence on new equity investments. His areas of expertise include financial structuring, strategic planning and transaction management.
Prior to Certes Partners, Jaren worked at Holliswood Development, and prior to that, at Savills Studley in their New York Headquarters. During his stint at Savills, Jared successfully guided local, national and multi-national clients, such as Time Inc, Ralph Lauren and Nike, with their lease obligations, commercial real estate acquisitions and asset dispositions.
Mr. Isaacs has underwritten over $1 billion of direct & joint venture real estate deals in New York City as well as a further $100MM of proposed joint venture projects outside the New York metropolitan area. In addition, he has served as Sponsor’s representative for a publicly-traded lender on REO projects covering 600 units in New York and New Jersey, and for a private investment partnership on the value-add overhaul of a portfolio of seven rent-stabilized apartment buildings in Brooklyn & Queens.
Mr. Isaacs spent nearly five years working for LeFrak Organization where he closed over $500MM in acquisitions and dispositions, and more than $700MM in financings, across key real estate asset classes and investment strategies (including ground-up development). As the majority of LeFrak’s 10,000+ units in New York City are rent-regulated, he is highly familiar with the sales, financing and management of rent-regulated properties and with the relevant rules.
Mr. Isaacs received a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Dartmouth College, an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in International Affairs from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.
